Nearly being out numbered by visitors is bad enough, but being out numbered
by virgins is just absurd.
The hash started promptly at 2:30 just in time for Fuk Stik and Water Foul
to make it back from D.C., evidently D.C. ran out of beer. Before they
showed up Mary Fucking Poppins was the only non-hare blue hen on the scene.
One of the virgins (penny) even brought her dad (World Wide Web). Anyway
the pack started out by crossing New London Road and then turning on to
Fremont Rd and then abruptly jumped into a bramble on the right side of the
road. After struggling thru the brambles for a bit the virgins realized
this was no ordinary running club. After a bit of crawling, ducking, and
jogging, a small ravine as found to cross our path, all successful cleared
the obstacle even the dog. After the ravine and some checks the trail went
up a hill and along the Christiana towers fence-line for a bit, before
turning back down the hill into a healthy briar patch. After some more
crawling, cursing, and bleeding the pack made it to bottom of the hill.
After traversing a small creek and a small bramble a beer check was found.
(Nothing like hot Black & Tan, or warm Honey Brown to quench your thirst).
From the beer check the trail went up a utility road and then veered off
into a patch of black berry bushes. The black berry bushes eventually gave
way to a path (a path? Whats that). The trail followed the path for a
distance and then turned left into the woods. After meandering around in
the woods for a while, a Newark Iced Tea check was found under a rather
strangely shaped tree. At this point some of the virgins began to suspect
this odd running club might have a drinking problem. From there the trail
led deeper in to the woods still. After nearly losing the trail a beer
check was found. We believe this check included a hashing first, Bass Ale
in CANS!! From there the trail followed a dirt bike trail for some
distance, eventually we emerged from the woods into a large hay field. The
trail then went across the hay field and through some more woods and then
crossed 896 into Fairfield. The ON-IN was found to be in Fairfield park..
Penalties and awards were given out. Due to the nature of the trail the
award for First Blood was passed over in favor of the penalty for Least
Blood.
