Flaming Shot
by Joseph McCombs
Let's not mince words. I'm on fire
And you're the best water I've ever tasted.
Maybe we can go get wired
Or maybe we can both get wasted.
Either way, I shall spend the day
A-twirl in the vacuum that is your eyes.
The world is vast, I'm in fast decay
And you're the last refuge in 2am skies.
I'm in your spectrum both day and night;
You're in my highball from midnight to morn.
I'm the one your friends feared you would like,
I'm the one -- but you couldn't be warned.
Even pure logic is weak to handle
The waterfall and the Roman candle.
