Thoughts Distended
A whirl of intermingled emotions
Yearning to know, "What if?"
Hungering for a clear cut path
Uncertainty of the future
Unwillingness to release the past
Creeping fear of what might be
Dread of never knowing
Agonizing dilemmas
Tearing at my reason
Disputing which answers are best
Doubting any can be right
Praying that none are wrong
Outsized logic swooping
Darting, picking, crushing my thoughts
And my heart.
