Yeats' Encompassing Concerns

by Joseph McCombs

If life is so chaotic as to be conic
then let me off the ride before
I get dizzy from the spin
and whirl of the
spiral down-
ward.
I'd
rather
take my time
building rings out
of life that actually
meet each other and settle
and not spend my time just spinning.
